1. She is infinitely more stylish than you are.

Literally, she has probably showed you how to use makeup or how to dress yourself properly. How do some people come by these things so naturally? And how do they always end up being horse people?

2. You don't understand how she can spend so much time in a barn and end up so...clean.

Why can't I do that? Even when she ends up with hay in her hair or mud on her pants, she is still somehow prettier than before. Life is NOT FAIR, man. Not. Fair.

3. When she falls, she gets back up again. And she expects the same from you.

Being with someone who holds themselves (and you!) to such high standards can really make a change in your life. In a good way.

4. You always thought you were competitive...until you met her.

So, you played sports, showed livestock, entered pie-baking contests and did other things that generally ended in losing or winning (preferably winning)...but you realized there is an entirely new level of competitive when it comes to the equine arena. Think: traveling every weekend all year, weekends in the summer, and spending all the hours not on the road preparing to get on the road. I'm just saying that a great follow-up to "Dance Moms" would be "Horse Show Moms"...so much goes on.

5. Her budget is primarily farrier visits, lessons, boarding fees, feed and tack. And yours is, well, pizza.

Getting together is a blast...your lack of responsibilities combined with her lack of available cash money makes any get-together an adventure. And yet, you always seem to end up in a parked car, laughing until you cry at what someone said or did throughout the night.

6. Literally, she does not sweat. She sparkles. Always.

You'd almost be disgusted and jealous...if you weren't so busy trying to figure out how you could make that happen, too.

7. She will never understand your affinity for cows/pigs/chickens/human babies/etc. - horses are the love of her life.

And although you love to make a big deal about "hating on" her horses...watching her love and care for them, obsess over how she'll compete, and take on the commitments to make her dreams come true has made you kinda, sorta, maybe like them...a little bit.

8. She hardly ever has a moment to herself - but she's always there when you need her.

Call, text, Facebook message, stand on your porch and shout her name a couple times...she always finds time to check in and hear all about your life.

9. She out-drinks, out-rides, out-runs, out-lives you in pretty much every situation.

And for some reason you're still glad to be around her.

10. She is confident in herself, knows what she deserves, and isn't afraid to tell people where to stick it when they forget that.

No words describe the awe of watching these conversations go down.

11. She is a fierce, loyal, kick-ass-and-take-names, no-nonsense BFF who will always have your back.

OH...and who could forget:

12. The love you feel for her amazes you sometimes. Because she is just that good.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
