11 Times You Realize You're Growing Up
Grown Up Truth

When you were a child, growing up seemed all fine and dandy, but now that you're a grown adult, doing "adult" things just seems painful. The idea of "adulting" always seems so terrible, that is, until you start to realize that small things that you do every day are tell-tale signs of adulting, you just don't notice. For example, instead of going out to hang out with friends, you would much rather stay home and spend your night sitting on the couch watching the news or a good Netflix series. Unfortunately, we will never be able to prevent ourselves from "adulting," it's just part of the circle of life.

1. Washing clothes becomes a daily routine. No longer can you go weeks without washing, because unfortunately, you only have so many appropriate outfits for work.

2. When you witness younger people doing typical "young people stuff" that you yourself used to do, you realize how stupid it actually was, and how adult you have become.

3. Doctor visits are too expensive, so Web MD becomes your best friend, and self-diagnosis is key.

4. Shopping for clothes is a pain, but shopping for things like furniture and house decor is basically the highlight of your week. Ikea is like the adult version of Toys R Us.

5. Amazon Prime and Prime Now become your best friends. "You mean, you can bring me the groceries I need in an hour so I don't have to pick them up on the way back from work? Sweet."

6. You find yourself telling younger cousins and siblings stories that begin with, "back when I was your age..."

7. Sleep goes from something you used to do all the time to something you wish you had. Welcome to the world of adulting, where the people never sleep.

8. Your calendar is your lifeline. Your schedule becomes so hectic that you have to write it all down so you don't forget.

9. "Treat yourself" has a completely new meaning, and when you do treat yourself, you go big.

10. Rent and bills are a never ending roller coaster of stress, but hey, that's part of adulting, right?

11. Any time that you get a chance to sit back and watch an old movie or show from your childhood, you're reminded of the golden days and you wish you could go back.

Christmas Tree

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
