11 Times We Were "Literally Dead" This Semester

We've all had at least one rough semester.

"My class isn't until 2pm tomorrow so I can still go out, right?"

1. After a night out before an 8AM class.

There's no question that 8AM classes are absolute garbage after a night out. Professors will surely point you out since you smell like frat house and cheap booze.

2. After tailgating for a 2PM Game.

We all look forward to taking off our game day clothes and having a decent nap after an early game.

3. Attempting to finish 3 essays when the deadline is in 2 minutes.

Procrastinating is all too familiar when you've put off assignments for so long.

4. Forgetting your assignment was due an hour after the deadline.

Asking a professor if he accepts late work is a "L" in itself.

5. Worrying about our GPA the week before finals.

I really wish someone would have told me to focus on my GPA my first quarter.

6. Deciding to take a nap instead of studying.

I've done two problems, that should count for a minute of rest.

7. When you stay up all night to study for a test only to make a C.

Looks like I'll be submitting my high school grades to my insurance for the fourth time.

8. Finishing your plate of food even though you were on the verge of puking.

I'm pretty sure I've actually died just to eat the last bite of food.

9. Opening the fridge and seeing there is no food.

Cue the tears.

10. Believing that skipping class and sleeping in would make you feel better.

The hangover worsens by 1000x.

11. Believing that "one time" would be the only time you'd skip class.

Is attendance really mandatory?

College is full of taking 'L's' and the amount of times we've texted our friends that we're dead in the morning is countless. Maybe it will get better next semester.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
