11 Times Schmidt Was The Best 'New Girl' Character

In my opinion, "New Girl" is one of the best shows on television right now. It's like this decade's version of "Friends." It's about a group of guys who live in a loft in Los Angeles that are in need of a new roommate. A girl named Jess Day responds to their roommate ad after going through a breakup. The dynamic between Jess and the three guys, Schmidt, Nick and Winston, is hilarious. If you haven't had a chance to watch it, I definitely recommend adding it to your list because you'll find yourself actually laughing out loud.

While each character definitely has it's funny moments, Schmidt is by far the funniest. He is known as the loft douchebag due to his hilarious narcissistic comments. He also has OCD, so he handles all of the cleaning, decorating and cooking in the loft. All of this and more is what makes Schmidt the funniest character on "New Girl." I started watching this show my freshman year of college and at the time I was the only one who watched it. I'm proud to say most of my friends and family are now big fans.

1. Schmidt is the only one in the loft who hasn't seen Nick's "business" and it's something that truly bothers him.

2. The fact that Schmidt used to be fat in college and the flashbacks are always amazing.

3. When Jess was going through a break up and worrying she wouldn't ever find love, so Schmidt decides to give her a reality check about the world.

4. The fact that he refers to young people as "youths."

5. When he decided to throw himself a "rebranding" party and makes the theme danger.

6. That Friday night that Schmidt was getting ready to go out but was first lounging in his Kimono or as he likes to call it his 'mono.

7. Schmidt has a fear of dead people but overcomes that fear at Nick's father's funeral in the strangest way.

8. Some of the best Schmidt moments are when he says something only he would say and has to put money in the "douchebag jar."

9. The fact that Schmidt loves Nick so much and shows it any chance he gets.

10. I've had such a hard time deciding what my favorite Schmidt moment is, however, I think it might be when he shaved half of his eyebrows off.

11. Last but not least, you gotta love when Schmidt confronts Jess' ex while wearing her cat hat.

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
