Sometimes the excitement leading up to an event can surpass the event itself. Perhaps we build it up in our heads too much, or maybe we are all really just in love with the idea of things more than we are in love with the things themselves. Whatever it is, here's to all those times we just couldn't stand to wait one more minute (even though the waiting was the best part).

Birthday parties

Planning what to put in the goody bags? Few things in life are better.

Vacations

Where to eat, what to do, who to see...maybe the planning is fun because that's the free part.

The school year

The schedules, the planners, the supplies...what's not to love??

Making any big purchase

We imagine just how great our lives are going to be (until we end up forgetting we even made the purchase 3 months later and carry on as though we never had it).

Going out to eat

Holidays

Graduations

Writing essays

Downloading a new app

Our life is going to be SO much more productive.

Starting a new book

We've got our New York Times bestseller and we are headed to the coffee shop to get lost in the best book we will ever read.

DIY projects

It's all fun and games until it never looks how it did on Pinterest.

Always give yourself something to look forward to. Always keep planning. But don't forget to enjoy the moment.
