Marina and the Diamonds, a Welsh singer-songwriter from Greek descent, has the most captivating lyrics. Her three very underrated albums are full of them, the following are just a fraction of what she has to offer. Definitely check out her albums: The Family Jewels, Electra Heart & Froot. But without further ado, let's get us some lyrics.

1. ''Are you satisfied with an average life; Do I need to fly to make my way in life'

'Are You Satisfied?' from her debut album 'The Family Jewels' talks about her struggle with becoming famous and questions if fame will bring joy to a life.

2. ''It's okay to say you've got a weak spot; You don't always have to be on top; Better to be hated than loved for what you're not''

'I Am Not A Robot' from TFJ talks about vulnerability and that it's okay to not always feel as strong as the world expects you to be.

3. ''Cause I feel like I'm the worst; So I always act like I'm the best''

Marina mocks the industry in 'Oh No!' (TFJ). She talks about how she pretends to be fine and happy all the time, but silently she isn't.

4. ''I don't wanna admit, but we're not gonna fit; No, I'm not the type that you like; Why don't we just pretend?''

The Electra Heart era brought some very sad, but relatable, songs and the lyrics are something else really. 'Lies' talks about a toxic relationship, but not wanting (or be able to) walk away from it.

5. ''It almost feels like a joke to play out the part; When you are not the starring role in someone else's heart''

'Starring Role' tells another tale in the story of Electra Heart and her unrequited love. But she does know she is good enough and deserves better.

6. ''Born with a void, hard to destroy with love or hope; Built with a heart, broken from the start and now; I die slow''

The haunting song 'Valley of the Dolls' talks about the fact that Electra Heart seems to be doomed from the start, she talks about her heavy heart and her different personalities.

7. ''And when the time comes along and the lights run out; I know where I will belong when they blow me out''

My favorite song is 'Fear and Loathing'. It talks about finding yourself, knowing who you are and knowing where you want to end up. It does in the perspective of death. (Since the persona Electra Heart is dying)

8. ''I'm not afraid of God; I am afraid of men''

In 'Savages' from her latest album 'Froot' Diamandis adresses the greed of men and she talks about the wars and terrorism that dirties the earth.

9. ''Cause in the end, the road is long; But only 'cause it makes you strong; It's filled with peaks and twists and turns; Sometimes you have to learn to forget about it''

In 'Forget' she goes through a self discovery. From not being able to forget and always holding grudges, to living a life where she can evolve and learn from her mistakes.

10. ''Found what I'd been looking for in myself; Found a life worth living for someone else; Never thought that I could be, I could be happy?''

In 'Happy' Marina finally admits to herself that she can be happy and she actually thinks she is.

11. ''We've broken up and now I regret it; I said goodbye when I shouldn't have said it''

I bet we all know that feeling Marina describes in 'Blue'.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
