Every college student knows the feeling of just needing a day to do nothing at all! Whether it's after a week of four tests, coupled with copious amounts of coffee and numerous 3am cram study sessions in the library; or simply a week where it just seems like nothing has gone your way, everyone just feels at one time or another Saturday filled with a new series on Netflix and never leaving the confines of your dorm room.

Ahh college...where Caf food is almost always available and even if the food quality and selection may not be the greatest; but who is here to tell you not to eat that 5th chocolate chip cookie or that 2nd serving of ice cream. Who is also going to stop you from taking a midnight binge trip to Walmart for a bag of sour skittles or a box of Eggo waffles.

Whether it's waiting for the showers that never seem to be open when it's convenient for you, or your roommate has been listening to the same song on a loop for an hour without headphones and you feel as if your head might explode at any moment; dorm life brings out the worst in all of us.

If it didn't happen to you in High School, it's bound to happen in college. The moment when you're the only one of your friends that isn't in a relationship and your the odd man out at parties or when your clan heads to the movies. But never fear! That person is out there! You might just have to suffer through a few awkward late nights trips to the movies burying your face in a bucket of popcorn while everyone else gets some lip action before they show up!

Ahh group projects. Every college kids nightmare. If you thought group projects in high school were bad, try trying to organize a study date when one of your group members had practice till sundown, another had work, two others don't live on campus and the library closes at 11. Sometimes all you can do is slam something down on paper, and vow to go down together with whatever grade your professor gives you and pray for a miracle!

College is a big jump and change in life style form high school. Suddenly, you're living in a new town, miles away from your family and the friends you grew up with, having to make your own doctors appointments, find your own food, and get yourself up for class. It's enough for anyone to throw up their hands once in awhile and just cream "Hey! I'm done adulting for awhile!"

Crushes. The bane off all young adults existences. In highs school they were reserved for school hallways, and maybe a few after school clubs. If things got awkward, at least you got to hide away at home at the end of the day. College? No such luck! You live with these people 24/7! Better hide your feelings fast!!

"Those days." You know exactly what days I'm talking about. That Wednesday smack in the middle of a long week, where you slept through your alarm, had to sacrifice a shower to make it to the last half of your 8am, the Caf was out of coffee, you had 2 assignments your forgot to do, a paper barely in on time and you also have to work for 6 hours later this evening. If dorms had bathtubs, you'd hole yourself away with bubbles and a magazine and never come out!

You may have succeeded in avoiding an 8 am this semester, but you couldn't avoid that 9am slot. You show up, 15 minutes late most days, trying to remember if you put on deodorant or if you even put your notebooks in your backpack. The best strategy for these classes? Keep your mouth shut, eyes open if possible, and hope someone else in the class takes really good notes you can sneak a peek at later!

Sometimes, life just sucks. Nothing is going right and it feels like the world is crashing down around you. All you can do is wallow in your misery for an hour or so, brush it off, keep your head up and try again tomorrow!!

As stressful as college might be, these truly are the years where you will find out who you are. Being an adult is hard. Living away form home for the first time is even harder. But you're going to meet some awesome people along the way who will help you through, and have a ton of amazing experiences! So push through the bad times and focus on the good! Cause life is an adventure, and yours is just geting started!!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.

For many undergraduates across the nation, the home stretch has begun. Only one more semester remains in our undergraduate career. Oh, the places we will go! For the majority of college seniors, this is simultaneously the best and worst year out of the past four and here’s why.

1. The classes you are taking are actually difficult.

A schedule full of easy pottery throwing and film courses is merely a myth on the average campus. With all of those prerequisites for the upper-level courses and the never-ending battle you fight each year during registration for limited class seats, senior year brings with it the ability to register for the final courses you need to fulfill your major. Yet, these are not the easy entry level courses. These are the comprehensive, end of major, capstone courses designed to apply the knowledge from all your previous courses, usually in the form of an extensive research paper or engaged learning project. The upside is you actually probably really enjoy these classes but alas there is no room for slackers here.
