Moving away from home for the first time in my life, I've found myself becoming far more independent. However, I've also slowly seen myself slip into the familiar patterns of a 5-year-old girl. Here are just a few relatable moments:
1. The constant need for a nap, and getting upset when you don't have time for one.
It's a tough life from the hours of 1-3 p.m. I'm out of commission.
2. Not only getting upset when you're tired, but also when you're very, very hungry.
Why are there no snacks in my dorm room?! I want a snack!
3. The constant need to color in order to keep some semblance of sanity.
Sorry my mental health is at stake here, does anyone have a cat picture I can color?
4. Wondering why boys have cooties and are so mean sometimes.
Someone please let me know.
5. Often choosing food over getting ready for the day.
Why would I put on makeup when the caf is about to close?
6. Not wanting to eat your vegetables.
I'm sorry but I still hate zucchini. I'll definitely have a cookie or some dinosaur chicken nuggets though!
7. Still not knowing what you want to do with your life.
Is it too late to become a princess?
8. Getting upset because you miss your Mom.
A boy was mean to me and I want my Mommy. Can you blame me?
9. Additionally, calling your Mom every night to say goodnight or just chat.
Don't let the bedbugs bite.10. Staying in your PJ's all day because they're more comfy than jeans
10. Staying in your PJ's all day because they're more comfy than jeans.
A day not in jeans is a day well spent.
11. The overwhelming excitement after seeing a dog.
It's been three months and I can't exactly pet my best friend, can I?
Taking it one step farther than being a kid at heart.
