As the end of the Fall semester approaches, being a college student feels more like a job than a fun place to hang out. After Thanksgiving break is over, school is a whirlwind. All projects, papers, and last round of exams (before finals) ensue, all within a couple week period. There is an overwhelming lack of sleep, poor diet focused on coffee and energy drinks, and an endless effort to somehow learn three months of material for the ridiculous cumulative final. During this craziness all we seem to want as college students it to be back in our elementary school days when we got in trouble for watching too much Sponge Bob on television. In fact, SpongeBob accurately depicts college life during the end of the semester in many ways....
1. When you tell yourself you need a 5 minute social media break and you end up spending all night online.
2. When you realize the grade you need on the final to pass the class is unrealistic.
3. Watching your GPA being torn down after you fail your assignments.
4. When you've been studying for so many hours you literally try to pound the information in your brain.
5. After staring at your computer screen for days on end.
6. When you try so hard not to have a melt down in the library but you are just so tired.
7. When you finally understand the material at the very end of the semester.
8. The feeling you get when you need more coffee but already drank three cups today and have no more.
9. The feeling when you don't know the answer to the first question on the exam and wonder if you should give up.
10. The feeling you get when scores are released and you have to retake the class.
11. When you are finally free to enjoy winter break!
