Summer vacation...oh the places you'll go! The anticipation that builds up in the days leading to a fun summer trip can be agony, but the trip of lifetime is well worth the wait! Here are some thoughts that we all have when prepping for summer vacation:

1. You totally Internet Stalk

You shamelessly stalk the Internet for everything to do with your trip. Your hotel, your cruise ship, your airline, you name it!

2. You Plan Everything

You plan every little detail of your trip in advance. By the time you land at your destination, you know the best places to eat, where the hottest beaches are, and have all the info on the coolest excursions. You got this.

3. You Keep a Countdown

You set a calendar and religiously mark off each day as it slowly drags by...

4. You Pick Out Each Outfit Days in Advance


You have a crazy fashion for your cat in an effort to get totally packed before the last minute...you'll still pack at the last minute.

5. You workout/diet/tan Like Crazy Before Your Trip

You just have to get the best beach body right?! It's ok, you'll get to pig out once your'e on your vacation!

6. You Daydream Constantly

You every waking thought is consumed with daydreams about laying on the beach with a drink in hand!

7. You Have to Remind Everyone About Your Trip

At every chance you get, you have to tell everyone around you about your vacation. Be careful not to make your friends too jealous!!

8. You Get Overwhelmed with Packing

Clothes are everywhere. You forgot to buy travel size toothpaste. And you can't seem to find your passport. Nothing like a major dose of stress to start off a trip right?

9. You Can't Fit Everything Into Your Suitcase

You try everything. Sitting on your suitcase. Jumping on it. Repacking everything at a different angle. And still the damn thing won't close!

10. You Can't Sleep the Night Before

You're so excited that sleep is the very last thing on your mind! Too bad that makes you suer tired for your long travel day the following morning.

11. You Run Around Like Crazy the Morning You Leave Thinking You Forgot Something

Who knew there would be so much to do the morning of?! Throw anything your forgot into your bag, print out your boarding pass, water plants, feed pets, set the alarm etc. Try not to forget anything...you'll still probably forget something.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
