May 30, 2016 I was asked by my best friend to be his forever. Proposing to me in front of one of our school's beloved icons, I said, "Yes." Now there's less than six months before we say, "I do," and the wedding plans are coming to a head. I've only had two wedding nightmares (so far), but my anxiety about making sure the day is as perfect as can be is real.
I've done pretty well handling the stress, even if the subject of eloping has come up three or four times. I've tried my best not to be a Bridezilla and I've done all the planning myself. No wedding planner for this bride! So it's natural that my thought process from here on out goes a little something like this:
1. How many days are left until the wedding? How many days until I move 20 hours away and have to handle everything via phone or email?
2. Praise once again to Walt Disney World for allowing me to request time off early for my own wedding even if it looks like I'll have to request a few more days off once I'm down there.
3. I'm confident everything has been decided on except for that one thing. Now to buckle down on purchasing and making everything that's been decided on. *Sigh*
4. I should have just eloped when I had the chance.
5. How much is left of our wedding budget? I need to check with David again.
6. I'm so happy our reception space is on board with having meetings now before I move so everything is decided on.
7. Gotta keep the bridal party informed of the goings-on. Gotta keep the bridal party informed of the goings-on. GOTTA KEEP THE BRIDAL PARTY INFORMED OF THE GOINGS-ON.
8. I should probably reach out to my soon-to-be in-laws and keep them in the loop as well.
9. So happy I have in-laws who love me. Other people are not so lucky.
10. Crap. Gotta call about my dress to see if it's done so I can schedule fittings and alterations.
11. I need a nap. *Takes a 10 minute power nap* Okay, let's plan!
