11 Thoughts At The End Of The Second Semester
Retirement Planners

When April rolls around, it's hard to focus on schoolwork and everything else going on throughout campus. Here are 11 thoughts at the end of second semester:

1. When is my next exam?

By the end of the semester, everything is preparing to wind down. However, it feels like your life is filled with stress since every time you turn around, a professor reminds you that you have an exam the next class.

2. How much longer until the semester?

When the countdown until the end of the semester reaches below 30, time feels like it goes by much slower. In fact, time even feels like it stops sometimes. When you use the space between exams as an increment of times, it feels as if the semester never ends.

3. It's Spring. Why is it so cold?

You spent over an hour getting ready for the day. You wear your cutest new Spring/warm weather outfit and since it's the end of April, you shouldn't need to worry about being cold. Right? Wrong. You leave your house with instant regret and spend the rest of the day freezing unless you go back and change.

4. It's Spring. Why is it so hot?

Since yesterday's Spring outfit was a failure, you decide to dress warmer the next day. Unfortunately, today it could be borderline summer and you're walking to your class wearing winter clothing when it's over 70 degrees outside.

5. I need to go shopping.

No matter how many days in a row you take the tags off of your brand new outfits, you can't help but want more as you see it. Spring and Summer are coming, and bathing suits and summer fashion are coming too.

6. No, I don't need to go shopping. I need to study for finals.

Who needs new clothes? You need your GPA! You miss out on that trip to the mall for a (potentially successful) day full of studying. Is this what adulthood feels like?

7. I'm never going to pass my finals so why bother studying?

After many failed attempts at opening your notebook, you realize it's time to wing you finals.

8. When can I sleep?

No matter what time of the day it is, you time yourself to the next nap or bedtime. The end of the semester is grueling and sleep is extremely important.

9. Is anyone else even struggling as much as I am?

When you have exams to take, essays to write, work and other commitments, you can't help but wonder if your peers are in the same boat as you are.

10. I want to go home.

Between missing your parents, friends back home and real food, you can't help but count down the days until you finally get to see your family at home again.

11. Why is time moving so slowly?

When your days include exams, essays, napping, and repeating, it's hard to remember that life and time exists outside of academics.

Don't worry, when you look back you'll realize how fast the semester and the school year actually went by. For now, sit down, open your textbooks and let everything work itself out!

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
