Fall is a wonderful time of cool weather, football games, pumpkins, Halloween and sweaters; but along with this time of year comes every college student's least favorite part about the middle of the semester: Midterms. Here are 11 thoughts every college student has during midterms.
1. Am I done yet?
Recommended for you
Eyes glued to your notes, it's been countless hours at the library, and you're ready to go home and sleep.
2. I'll probably study tomorrow...
Procrastinators unite: you'll probably wait until 11 PM on the night before your test to start studying.
3. What even is sleep?
It's been a while since you've actually gotten a decent amount of sleep. What did that feel like again?
4. I need more coffee.
It's 1 AM and the coffee buzz has worn off -- time for another round.
5. I should probably get back to studying.. Nah, I'll just take a nap instead.
The inner lazy starts to set in; your head tells you to get up and keep studying, but your body tells you to just give up for a while.
6. So much for this class being easy...
Beginning of the semester, your 4.0 friends and fellow classmates assured this class was easy, but you're starting to think differently.
7. It's been three hours, how have I still not retained anything?
After hours of scrolling through Instagram and Twitter, you've made minor attempts at studying, but not a single work of effective progress has been made.
8. Did we even learn this term in class?
There's always those random bits of information on the study guide, that for some reason you've don't recall ever hearing in class. Was it maybe because you slept through class that day?... probably.
9. Is dropping out still an option at this point?
This is the part of the week when you start to question a career in miming or interpretive dance, but then you remember that you can't dance.
10. Is this week over yet?
Ultimately, you're done with studying and beyond ready for the weekend.
11. Test over? Now it's time for Netflix.
The test may or may not actually be over, but you're ready to watch Netflix and eat cookies. When the Midterm rounds finally settle, you can stop to relax for a day. You can now catch up on "Grey's Anatomy" or "New Girl."
Midterms can cause massive levels of stress, but it's just another part of college. We deal with it, and learn from it.
