If there was a blizzard yesterday and it's 70 degrees out today, you probably live in Pennsylvania. The weather forecasts have been all over the place lately, leaving those in the Keystone State happy, worried, or absolutely confused about the strange weather patterns starting off the month of March. For those who don't live in PA, here's what it's like to have record highs and freezing temperatures within the same week.
1. We skipped right over winter.
Compared to the winter a few years ago that gave us the blizzard for Halloween, this winter never showed up. One snowstorm that closed school down for one day? That's nothing! Everything melted in a few days anyway.
2. Let's open up all the windows and let that sunshine in!
Breathe in that fresh air and smell those flowers!
3. Time to put the scarves and gloves away!
No need for these anymore!
4. This isn't a good sign at all...
Even though these warm days seem like a nice surprise, some people are concerned about our planet, because let's be honest, it should still be below 50 degrees.
5. TORNADO!!!
6. Where's my umbrella?
Heavy rains have also made quite the appearance these past few days, accompanied with extremely high winds and good sized hail. Sounds fun, doesn't it?
7. Never mind, I need that scarf and those gloves again.
In Pennsylvania, a couple warm days doesn't mean you won't freeze tomorrow.
8. Swimsuit season? Already?!
No, no, no, don't worry. We still have a couple months until that actually happens, so you have time.
9. "Roads may be icy today. Drive with care."
Ice?! I was sweating in a t-shirt yesterday!
10. Close all the windows! We're turning on the heat!
So much for that fresh air, huh?
11. We need a new groundhog.
I have no idea what Phil was thinking this year. You should've quit while you were ahead, buddy.
So as you look at the forecast for the week and see record highs with a winter weather advisory and a severe thunderstorm warning, just remember that you're in Pennsylvania right now. Hopefully, by April, the weather will have figured itself out and we can go back to wearing the same type of clothing for a few days in a row. Until then, dress in layers, keep an umbrella handy, and don't forget to pack your gloves and winter hat!
