Rewind back to my tour at Saint Leo University, when we walked through the dining hall and the student ambassador was talking it up. She was saying how it was so amazing and talking about all of the different stations that we had. At that point I was getting excited because from the rumors I was hearing from other colleges, dining halls were pretty bad. At this point, Saint Leo's was looking pretty good. At the end of the tour they let my mother and I eat there and I was thoroughly impressed that day with the quality of the food compared to other dining halls I had eaten in. So I was super pumped to start my semester and finally accept my unlimited meal plan. Think back to pre-freshman year and how incredible it sounded to have the freedom to eat to your heart's desire without paying for each individual item. Also, the idea that unlimited icee's were available really hyped me up for finally moving into Saint Leo.

Now that I go to saint Leo University and have eaten there multiple times a day for a year, I realized that many of the same thoughts run through my head whenever I walk in. I thought that I would share some of them with you. Some of these will probably go through your head as well.

1. Why is there nothing good to eat?

Then I just give up and eat a burger.

2. On the contrary, why are there so many good choices?

It's a hit or miss, you either want to eat everything or nothing... all at once.

3.Why are they always out of blueberry bagels?

They're eternally out of my favorite item on the menu. Seriously, how is this even possible?

4. This is the best macaroni n' cheese I have ever eaten.

Is it wrong to go get a third helping?

5.Why are there so many people here

Seriously. What's the occupancy of this place?

6.Is it really necessary to leave out one slice of pizza for two hours instead of putting out a new pizza?

No one is going to eat it. Were all waiting for the new one.

7. Why must the stir fry take five hours to make?

Believe us, the Chinese station would be perfect for additional stir fry. It is 100% worth the wait though.

8.Does this syrup taste like melted plastic to anyone else, or is it just me?

It might possibly be the nastiest food item Saint Leo makes.

9. I'm late to class. I wonder if they're gonna care if I take this sandwich out.

To be honest, I don't really care. Because I'm hungry.

10. All i need is a place to sit

It's such a small school though, so you always find someone you know to sit with.

11. Who eats dinner between the hours of 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. anyway?

I am looking at you Friday, Saturday and Sunday cafe' hours.

All of this aside though I love the fact that my school's food tastes like actual food. From what I hear from friends at different schools, their food is really bad. So in comparison, my dinning hall is pretty amazing and I will happily enjoy my unlimited meal plan for the rest of my time on campus.

eye roll

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.

15 Things That Happen On Your Birthday

Do you have a small get-together or throw a big bash?

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.
