11 Things You'll Experience Once Starting A Full Time Job

Gone are the days of sleeping in...and being broke.

Whether you've recently graduated from college or have been unemployed for some time, you are used to having full control over your schedule. That reality changes when you have a full-time adult job. Unless you're in a unique field, you'll end up becoming someone who works 9-5. Of course, there are perks that a job brings: a salary (!!), benefits, friendly co workers (hopefully). But there are also many changes that aren't so appealing.

The following 11 things will be quite familiar to anyone who has made the transition from unemployed to full-time employee (as I have recently done).

1. You wake up waaay too early.

2. And HATE your alarm clock and that annoying sound it makes.

3. No matter your previous morning beverage preferences, the answer is coffee. Always coffee.

4. Breakfast really does need to be fast.

5. You'll happily go to bed at 9:30.

6. You suddenly have a constant influx of a LOT of money.

7. And decide that you can afford to go on (several) shopping sprees.

8. You sit in traffic daily, and would do anything to avoid it.

9. While at work, you'll look for any kind of distraction.

10. You've got that business casual look down.

11. Friday afternoons have taken on a whole new meaning.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
