The holiday's are quickly approaching and that means the family is back together again to celebrate it all. For some reason this time of the year is the most stressful time for our moms since the house needs to be cleaned for guests and relatives or us kids have to look cute for pictures, gifts need to be bought for everyone and the food needs to be perfect. If you have a mom who stresses over the holidays you will relate to some of these things happening around the house.

When we are getting together to go somewhere or do something and we've had hours if not all day to get ready but when the time comes we seem to take forever.

Being late is not ok in moms book so even if you are wearing pajamas, if it's time to go, it's absolutely time to go. Being late for a dinner or event with family is a no no even though half the time the rest of the family ends up being late or frazzled as well.

Everything is so much more extravagant when guests and family are over.

The most annoying part is even us kids have to try a little harder because mom wants everything in the house to be perfect and look perfect even though we all know our aunts, uncles and cousins don't really care that much.

The main rule mom keeps up if all else fails is maintaining the Christmas spirit at all times.

This means decorating the entire house inside and out and playing a christmas playlist on repeat.

The house needs to be spotless. No exceptions.

A dirty house when company is coming over? That's not happening, mom will make sure of it.

Nobody ruins the holidays for mom.

Not the relatives, not us kids, nobody. She wouldn't let that happen anyway.

When it's time to leave but we aren't dressed in our best outfits, or at least not up to moms standards.

I'm sure she would be happiest with us in suits and ball gowns all color coordinated perfectly but sorry mom...

Mom gets so frazzled when making sure the house is perfect that nobody even really knows what she's talking about after a while.

It's not logical to ask any questions, just do what you're told and nobody gets hurt.

When people start to ask "what's wrong with mom?"

The stress of the holidays and having so much to do is really getting the best of her.

The Christmas card picture is taken super seriously and if one sibling is out of line, they are done for.

Really, it's a big deal.

The dog even is forced to participate on the Christmas cheer.

This one we aren't even complaining about though because they look so cute.

Everything is just so much more extra than it needs to be.

Christmas wouldn't work out as smoothly without mom but she could afford to slow down and calm down a tad bit though.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
