Every hockey fan knows that the Stanley Cup Finals are currently being played between the Nashville Predators and the Pittsburgh Penguins. There are seven games in total for the Stanley Cup and a minimum of four games must be won in order for a team to be crowned champions. Penguins fans are hopefully anticipating four wins in a row in order to win the Stanley Cup two years in a row, while Predators fans are excitedly cheering to bring home the Stanley Cup for the first time. Whether you’re watching these games or not, any hockey fan can confidently agree that they’ve said some (or all) of the stuff on this list at one point in their watching career.

1. Someone threw an octopus on the ice!


2. Who lost a stick?

3. He's getting a little rough, but he's Russian, so what do you expect?


4. Isn't it a little early for a fight?


5. I hope he didn't get another concussion. He's already had one this season.


6. Gloves off! FIGHT!


7. How do you expect to win the Stanley Cup playing like that?


8. Grind them into the ice!


9. Where is [important player]? Are they on the ice? Why aren't they on the ice?


10. So a power play/icing/high sticking is [explanation].


11. NEVER leave an empty net. Of course they scored!
