11 Things To Remember When You Start Overthinking
Crushable

Overthinking is a disorder that almost everyone suffers from, but some more than others. If you're the type of person that lies in bed at night dwelling on everything bad that has or could happen, here are some tips to help you stop overthinking and improve your life positivity.

1. Replaying a bad situation over and over again in your head will not change the fact that it happened.

Thinking about it one more time will not change what is already done, so there is no use in doing so. This is a hard step, but coming to terms with the reality of it is an important progression.

2. Everyone else has probably already forgotten about it.

People's attention spans are very short regarding things that don't revolve around themselves, so it is likely they have not thought twice about the thing you are stuck on.

3. You are constantly progressing as a person.

Just because you didn't make a right move, choice or word this time, doesn't mean you won't next time. Take each day as a learning experience and grow.

4. You cannot change fate.

The level of anxiety you feel about an upcoming situation will not change how the situation pans out, but your attitude about it might affect the way you react. So the best you can do is hope for the best outcome.

5. Be kind to yourself.

It is important to forgive yourself as easily as you forgive others. Give yourself a break. You deserve it.

6. One thing does not change you as a person.

One bad move or decision does not change the way people think of you. It's all about averages. Think of it like an outlier in a math problem, they are discarded for a reason.

7. That person hurt you because they have problems not you.

When people leave or intentionally hurt you, the natural first instinct is to think of all the things you might have done wrong. But again, blaming yourself is never the answer.

8. Keeping yourself busy is the best way to keep your mind off something.

Get up and move! It will make you feel better to let your mind wander to other things.

9. You cannot control others.

There is no way to control what they think, do or say, so there no use in stressing about it. Just think, "They're going to do them" and, in the famous words of Drake, "Oh yeah, thats right, I'm doin' me."

10. You have the right the ask the questions you need to know.

Do you love me? Should I leave? Is there a reason you never called? These are all questions that everyone trips on and it makes us all crazy to wonder. So why not just ask because you have the right to know.

11. There are so many positives in your life to focus on.

Life is a roller coaster, so for all your lows you have just as many highs. It's hard to do sometimes, but focusing on the positives gives you a better attitude and makes life seem a little brighter on your darkest days.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
