There's something to love about every season, some reason people call it their favorite. They like the weather, the holidays, the vacations they get to take, or what have you. We've just happened to enter my favorite season, and I couldn't be more ready for everything fall brings with it. Since I was a little kid, I've always found that fall makes me happy. And now as we enter mid-October in Ohio, fall is just about reaching its peak. So here's a taste of autumn appreciation:

1. The temperature

Yes, finally! Perfectly cool air. No more being sweaty, and we have a while until I'm freezing. (Which actually happens pretty easily.) All I need for now is a light jacket!

2. The leaves

I'll let nature speak for itself on this one.

3. The colors

The leaves inspire a color scheme for anything and everything autumn-related, and it's beautiful. Something about those warm colors and cool air...

4. The fashion

Going again off of leaves and colors, dressing for fall is the best. Sweater weather, scarves, hats, sweaters, light jackets, scarves, boots, scarves, more sweaters, did I mention SCARVES? Oh, and sweaters.

5. The food

Yes, it is time for apples and pumpkin bread and cinnamon and caramel and soups and apple pie and so many delicious desserts...

6. The drink

Hot chocolate and pumpkin spice lattes (sorry I had to) and apple cider...

7. The activities

Seriously, when you're a little kid, what was better than jumping into a leaf pile bigger than you? Nothing. And going to a farm, picking out pumpkins, going on hay rides, going apple picking, getting lost in corn mazes still entertain us, no matter how old we are.

8. The holidays

Like Halloween and Thanksgiving! (And my birthday, if anyone cares to know...)

9. The decorations

Pumpkins, gourds, scarecrows, and everything in those beautiful fall colors...

10. The scents

Along with the scent of various fall foods baking, there's the change in the air, the smell of the fallen leaves, the scent of the scarf covering your nose...

11. The spirit

Particularly due to the activities and holidays fall entails, there seems to be a spirit of togetherness surrounding much of the season. There is something for everyone to appreciate about autumn, whether it be family time or simply hot apple cider. Something about fall just seems to warm hearts in cool weather.
