Am I a "basic white girl" for making an article about the best things to do in the fall? Maybe. But personally, I love fall and I wanted to share my favorite activities with my favorite readers. If you're ever in need of some suggestions on some fall activities: I'm the gal to help you out. I hope you enjoy my article about what you NEED to do in order to survive this fall.

1. Go to the Pumpkin Patch.

It's absolutely obvious but going to a pumpkin patch is ESSENTIAL for the fall. You don't even have o buy a pumpkin to have a good time. Honestly, I go for the cute pictures and the memories. If you DO buy pumpkins, you must carve them. It's a fall tradition.

2. Go for a Walk in the Park as Soon as the Leaves Change Colors.

I am a sucker for a walk in the park with the red and yellow leaves falling around you. It's not only romantic but it's soothing so even if you go by yourself, you'll have an amazing time. Fall weather is the most beautiful weather.

3. Buy New Comfy Sweaters.

You better believe that I have gone out and bought at least three new sweaters to wear during the fall with my leggings and Birkenstocks. Fall is the best time to be comfy and look fashionable when going to class.

4. Sit Outside and Enjoy the Breeze.

Just to reiterate: fall weather is the best weather. It's the best time to sit outside and have long talks about life and why we exist.

5. Go through Maze.

I suck at mazes but honestly, going with a group of friends makes them very enjoyable. The air is crisp, the sun goes down, and it's just you and your friends trying to figure out how to escape a maze of corn.

6. Go to a Haunted House.

I hate being scared but I figured this was a necessity. You have to go to AT LEAST one haunted house during the fall. I promise, I won't be going to more than one but it's almost taboo if you don't go to one and get the pee scared out of you.

7. Bonfire.

One of the best activities for the fall is getting your friends together and throwing a bonfire. Sitting outside and talking about life with the people that mean the most to you could not sound like a better activity. I mean, am I right?

8. Hayrides.

Find one. Do it. It's worth it.

9. Netflix and Chilling.

Even if it's by your self, you do you. Enjoy curling up in a ball, covered in a big blanket, watching Netflix. There's nothing wrong with giving yourself a little TLC every once in awhile.

10. Decorate for the Holiday's

Make your apartment fall and spooky. After all, fall decorations are the best house decorations.

11. PSL

Don't argue. Just do it.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
