1. Movie Night

Having a movie night with your friends is always fun, especially when it involves dinner and a show. It's even better if you can all quote the movie lines.

2. Bonfire

An advantage to not being surrounded by concrete and buildings is being able to go out and have a bonfire with your friends. Whether you roast marshmallows or each other, it'll be a night of fun.

3. Thrift Store Shopping

Finding ugly clothes and then trying to convince your best friend they need it is always a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Aside from finding clothes that you will wonder why they were made, you might find a pretty sweet deal.

4. Star Gazing

One of the pros of not living in a city that's heavily populated by lights is that you don't have to go far to see the stars.

5. Ugly Shoe shopping

Going to the store and seeing some of the shoe ideas some people come up with is always a great way to make you feel better about yourself.

6. Walmart Scavenger Hunts

Going into Walmart or a different store that is available in your town is a great way to increase your skill of finding items.

7. Ultimate Frisbee at the park

Frisbee or a different game with your friends at the park is one place to hang out, especially when there aren't really any places to hang out at aside from a friend's house

8. Karaoke

What better way to entertain and bond with your friends than horribly singing your favorite songs?

9. Going on drives

Sometimes you just need to hop in a car and go for a drive either by yourself or with your friends.

10. Explore abandoned places

Almost every town has that building or place that has a story about it and why no one goes there. Why not got check it out?

11. Watch the river rise

If all else fails, go watch a river rise after the rain. Just be careful not to fall in and drown.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated.
