School is starting, and I need to get my life in order. One of the many steps in the process is cleaning and organizing my room. Unfortunately, I always seem to find a bounty of other things to do first. The clutter I live in seems like a small price to pay for not having to decide where everything will go and what has to go. I know that once I put everything in a place, that will likely be the permanent placement of things, as I will have little time to reorganize. So, I continue to put it off until I absolutely cannot live this way anymore. And it is easy to do that, when I have so many other things I can do. I have a whole list.

1. Kill all the fruit flies in the house.

2. Read my entire Spanish textbook.

3. Clean the entire house (except for my room).

4. Re-watch season one of "American Horror Story".

5. Spend an hour at Walgreens just to get one prescription.

6. Fix all the broken things in the house.

7. Go to Goodwill and look at furniture I'm not going to buy.

8. Spend an hour looking at recipes online even though I'll probably just make a PB & J for dinner.

9. Curl my hair, and put it up in a ponytail because it looks bad.

10. Finally read all the books I meant to read on vacation.

11. Look through my high school notebooks and remember the weird things I wrote during class.

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…
