The hit TV show, Modern Family, will bring out the best in you. It'll make you laugh, make you cry, give you a heart warming feeling, remind you how thankful you are of your family, and help you with the hardships of growing up. Although every character is lovable, no one beats Phil in the area of advice.

1. Always think inside the box.

His logic may not be completely wrong on this one...

2. Sometimes we expect too much out of each other and out of life.

It's good to sit back sometimes and appreciate the little things in life.

3. No one wants to accept change in life, but everything happens for a reason.

4. We don't always make the best decisions, but thank god some situations are reversible.

We shouldn't all go out and buy alpaca's now but you get the point.

5. It's always okay to reference Harry Potter in your everyday life.

6. Life can get you down time and time again but it's important to keep your head up.

7. Laughing at your own jokes is okay, even when they are terrible.

8. Believe it or not, this is an important skill to have.

I mean, you never know when you might run into Zac Efron and need to break free together.

9. Always do what makes you happy, even if society doesn't agree.

Who says you can't wear that? Who says you can't do that?

10. No caption needed.

11. Be confident in yourself, you'll achieve more than you think you can.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
