The dictionary definition of a perfectionist is "a person who refuses to accept any standard short of perfection." A lot of people don't realize what it's like to be a perfectionist. If you're a perfectionist or have been around someone who's a perfectionist, you know how frustrating and annoying this need for perfection can be.

1. If we draw a line on a piece of paper it has to be absolutely straight. Not a centimeter off.

It doesn't matter how many tries it takes, we will get that line straight.

2. Disappointing someone is our biggest fear.

If someone expects something of us, we want to meet those expectations.

3. Sectional plates are our best friend.

Food touching? No thank you.

4. Our day has to follow a specific routine.

No matter how much we love you, you will have to work around our schedule.

5. We beat ourselves up over every. little. thing.

From getting the wrong kind of fruit at the grocery store to arriving late, to running over a squirrel, we'll be mad at ourselves.

6. We have extremely high expectations for others, resulting in easy disappointment.

Not only do we have high expectations for ourselves, we have high expectations for others.

7. We notice things that aren't right that most people don't.

If something is out of place, it won't pass by us.

8. We spend hours thinking about a little mistake we made.

You may forget about it, but we won't.

9. If we can't do something right, we don't want to do it at all.

Why would be stress ourselves out if we could just avoid it?

10. We point out other people's mistakes more than we should.

We don't only point out our own mistakes, we point out other people's.

11. We're self-conscious about everything we do.

We might as well put a bag on our face as we go throughout our day.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
