11 Things I Need To Thank My Boyfriend For

After you are in the dating game for a while, you tend to get discouraged or burnt out when things continue to not work out. However, what I've begun to realize is that relationships that don't work out help you appreciate the good ones that much more. Relationships are so much fun when you actually find a good guy, ladies. So here are 11 things that I need to thank my good guy for.

1. For being a gentleman.

He constantly is treating me like a princess. He takes me out, shows me off, and makes sure that I am never left wanting something. He continuously spoils me.

2. For praying with me.

He will just stop in the middle of whatever we are doing or talking about and ask if we can pray together. It's one of my favorite things because it shows me that's he has his heart in the right place and wants God in the center of our relationship.

3. For challenging me.

He constantly broadens my perspective on everyday things and challenges me to be more open-minded and gracious.

4. For showing me God's grace and patience.

This poor boy, y'all. I made him wait 6 months before I finally said yes to being his girlfriend, and there has never been a moment that I have regretted that decision. Thank you for sticking around and waiting for me.

5. For realizing my worth.

For those of you who know me, know that I value worth so much. It's something I'm incredibly passionate about because I have seen and experienced the effects that not knowing or seeing your worth can have. He not only sees my worth in the Lord - he values and treasures it.

6. For showing me off.

He never makes me feel unwanted or undesired. Whether it be showing me off to his friends and family or just do little things to make me feel special, he always shows me that he cares.

7. For being a man of God.

He is such a sweet man of the Lord. He'll pray with me, lead me in the Word, and just share his heart with me. This trait is something that I value a lot, so I never have to worry about him meeting that expectation

8. For always supporting me.

He supports me in everything that I do. He is always encouraging me, and he makes me feel like I can accomplish anything that I set my mind to.

9. For always cheering me up.

Even if I'm in the worst of moods, he always finds a way to make me laugh or smile. He's so silly, that it's hard to be in a bad mood around him.

10. For doing more than enough for me.

Whether it's driving an hour and 45 minutes almost every weekend to come see me, surprising me to come watch me sing at church, or the little things he does to show me he cares, he always does more than enough for me.

11. For being everything that I didn't know I needed.

I've known him for about 7 or so years now, and we were friends for about 6 and a half years of that time. I never thought that this would come out of it. This is one of those relationships that you just don't see coming, but you're sure glad it did.

So as you can see, there are tons of things that I can thank you for, but the one thing I thank you for the most s for being you.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. Recently I completed my freshman year of college, and boy, what an experience. It was a completely new learning environment and I can't believe how much I learned. In an effort to save time, here are the ten biggest lessons I learned from my first year of college.

1. Everyone is in the same boat

For me, the scariest part of starting school was that I was alone, that I wouldn't be able to make any friends and that I would stick out. Despite being told time and time again that everyone had these same feelings, it didn't really click until the first day when I saw all the other freshman looking as uneasy and uncomfortable as me. Therefore, I cannot stress this enough, everyone is feeling as nervous as you.
