One of my favorite things about high school was being in show choir. Show Choir was a part of chorus that we were able to sing and dance and have so much fun. Show Choir made my high school days a pretty great one. I was able to talk to different people in my high school and it was fun to even perform in San Antonio with them!

1. The crew!

I had the best group of people by my side during these times, and it's with these people that I hold this time so dear to me.

2. My choir director!

The man who makes being in choir the most fun! And his jokes are pretty great. Also, you can catch him announcing at the football games and announcing thousands of EHS alumni!

3. Singing/performing:

The inner super start in me was shown during these times.

4. The competitions:

Competing with 25 of your closest friends has to be the best of team bonding.

5. Bonding with everyone:

Speaking of bonding, sometimes, we show up, MATCHING!

6. The fun, random moments:

Disclaimer: Some funny AND random things happen in the show choir room. P.S. I miss ya, Syd!

7. The friendships made:

I still remember the conversations we had about school and life!

8. The dresses:

Even though we had to sell cookie dough for these dresses, they were fun to twirl in!

9. Having dance partners:

It takes two to tango!

10. Koby!

The man who had the music hands for piano! WE LOVE YOU, KOBY!

11. The concerts!

The best thing about being in show choir, is being able to perform in front of our friends, family and loved ones. What a time!

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.

Growing up I have always wanted to own a horse. My grandparents own a well known equestrian facility in Georgia, so I have been riding since I was born. A bond between a person and their horse is a bond so strong that it cannot be broken. Everywhere I went I wanted to be around horses, even forcing my family to go on trail rides during vacations. Horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember has taught me great responsibility, as well as 14 things that all equestrians can relate to.
