11 Things To Look Forward To For The Gilmore Girls Revival

Ever since the end of the series in 2007, fans everywhere of the Gilmore Girls have been wanting a reunion special and some better closure for the characters they loved. Due to the fact that the original writers of the show did not write the last season, many people were not satisfied with it. Now thanks to the powers that be and the Netflix gods, Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband Dan are back to write and produce four new episodes of the show for the streaming service that finally gives the fans the closure and the 'final four words' that they have been waiting almost ten years for. Here are the top eleven things to look forward to in the Gilmore Girls revival.

1. Stars Hollow's Famous Town Meetings

There was nothing better than Stars Hollow's eccentric citizens all crammed into one room complaining about their problems with each other.

2. Great Pop Culture References

If there is one thing Sherman-Palladino is very talented at is putting as many pop culture references as possible in her scripts. You can make a game out of how many you can get in one episode.

3. The Secondary Characters

While the main cast is always amazing, they would be nothing without the cast of characters behind them. From Miss Patty and Babette to Taylor and Kirk, there was always something entertaining .

4. Lane and Zack's Kids

When the series ended, Rory's childhood best friend Lane and her husband Zack had just had twins. Now fans are excited to see the two boys as little kids running around in their Hep Alien t-shirts.

5. Paris and Doyle

One of the quirkiest and entertaining couples on the show, Paris and Doyle were also probably one of the most stable as well. There's no doubt that they are still together now.

6. The Dragonfly Inn and Michel

Even though it seems very unlikely that Melissa McCarthy will be reprising her role as Sookie, that does not mean people are excited to see how the Inn and the people there are doing. Especially Michel who is most likely still running the place.

7. Epic Luke Rants

One of the most loved characters on the show next to the girls themselves, Luke's rants have always been a staple in the community. Especially the ones directed at Taylor.

8. Closure With April

April coming into the show in season six was probably the biggest and most hated plot twists in the show. Hopefully, now that is confirmed that she will be back, the fans can learn to forgive her for coming between Luke and Lorelai.

9. Rory's Happily Ever After

At the end of the series, we see Rory deciding to focus on her career and forgoing love. While there was nothing wrong with that, it is time for her to receive her happily ever after and we know all three of her love interests will be back so it seems like it is likely to happen.

10. Luke and Lorelai

The 'will they, won't they' couple of the show never actually got closure with their relationship. Most people believe that they will be together when the new episodes start and they can not wait to see what life is like for them now.

11. Gilmore Friday Night Dinners

These were the heart and soul of the show. At these dinners, all three generations of Gilmores in the same room was always the best part of every episode. Though the absence of Edward Herrmann as Richard will be hard, there is no doubt Emily, Lorelai and Rory's dynamic won't disappoint.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
