It’s officially that time of year, summertime aka lake season. Whether you grew up going up north to the lake, or have only been a few times. That feeling you get, sitting on the dock, letting the sunshine hit your face, hanging out on the boat, listening to music. No feeling in the world will compare to that. Here’s a list of things you will definitely understand if you’re a lake-goer.
1. Pulling up to the lake house and getting so antsy to put your bathing suit on and jump in.
You’ve never unlocked the door faster and changed so quickly. Unpacking the car can wait.
2. Waking up in the morning, feeling completely relaxed and excited to start your day.
That morning cup of coffee on the dock. Feeling ready to get right back on the water.
3. Uncovering the boat and putting all of the lawn furniture out, in preparation for a wonderful day in the sun
Even through all of the spiderwebs, and dust, you don’t care, because look at where you are.
4. Eating way too many hotdogs/burgers and drinking way too much beer.
It's the lunch and dinner of choice, almost every day.
5. Waving to all the neighbors who drive by on their boats.
It’s mandatory.
6. Getting pissed off at the guy who speeds by you on a jet ski while you're in a kayak.
Dude, I’m about to go over
7. If it's yellow let it mellow, if it's brown flush it down.
Don’t mess it up!
8. Bathing in the lake with a bar of soap.
It’s not as bad as it sounds!
9. Smelling like the bonfire, sunscreen, or bug spray 24/7.
If not one of them, then all of them!
10. Running out of gas in the middle of the lake.
Jump your ass in and paddle!
11. Spending time with your best friends and family!
No other feeling in the world will compare. Relaxing, laughing and having a good time!
This summer make it a point to bring your butt up and have yourself a nice lake weekend. It’s a place to let all your worries melt away, and just be!
