If you have spent more than an hour on Wagner College's campus, chances are you have met Harry Wilson St. Cloud II. Harry St. Cloud, is who I would refer to as the 'mayor' of Wagner, because he makes it his mission to befriend everyone at our school. I know for certain, he has found a friend in me. Below is a list of lessons, 'Harry-isms' if you will, that he has bestowed upon me.
1. A Chicken D'Lite is always the way to go.
Whenever I have asked Harry what to eat in Hawk's Nest, he will ALWAYS tell me to get a Chicken D'Lite, because "it's the quickest thing."
2. Never let your work get you down.
Every time I have told Harry that I was stressed out with school work, he will always tell me to keep my head up.
3. "Let me get a smile!"
Harry has never failed to make me smile, and believe me, he won't end the conversation until you do!
4. There is ALWAYS time to have fun...
and with Harry, there is no doubt you're in for a good time.
5. Making friends is easy...
all you have to do is try.
6. It is party time all the time.
Harry asks me what I'm up to over the weekend... always followed by, "Are we partying?"
7. "We need to hangout more."
Harry always makes it a point to ask me to hangout... he has reaffirmed the importance of really being present with the people you care about.
8. Always look on the bright side.
Every time Harry asks me how I'm doing, he always makes me think about all the good things I have going, instead of dwelling on my stresses.
9. There is always time for the people who matter most to us.
Whether it's a quick check-in at Hawk's Nest, or a long talk in your common room, Harry always makes time to catch-up with his friends.
10. A hug a day keeps the stresses away.
It is the best feeling in the world to be greeted with a hug and a smile... a Harry St. Cloud special.
11. Being yourself never goes out of style.
If there is one thing Harry has taught me, it is that being yourself is always your best option.
Thank you Harry Wilson St. Cloud II, for everything you've taught me. Keep on smiling, and I promise to catch up over a Chicken D'Lite really soon.
