Having a best friend is one of the biggest blessings that life has to offer. There is nothing better than having that one person you can turn to for absolutely anything. With that being said, I know for a fact that I don't say thank you enough, so I am going to do it now. Here are 11 things I have to thank my best friend for.

1. For never being afraid to correct me when I'm wrong.

Even though I'm right 99.9% of the time *wink, wink.*

2. For being the only person I can do absolutely nothing with and still have a good time.

I wish I was kidding, but I feel like we do this more often then not.

3. For being down to scream any song at the top of our lungs in the car.

Musical theatre, country, today's top hits, we've literally got it all covered

4. For always being okay with driving to the middle of nowhere.

Even if it's 1 am on a Tuesday

5. For being my personal stylist.

Basically, thank you for telling me that you hate the jumpsuit I'm trying to buy, literally every time.

6. For taking care of me when I've drank a little too much.

Even though most of the time you are just as gone as me, thank you for making sure I don't do anything too dumb.

7. For protecting me from boys.

I know most of the time I didn't want your rescue, but regardless, thank you for being there for me.

8. For always being my concert buddy.

There is no one else I'd rather attend 3 concerts in the same month with.

9. For keeping my secrets.

I mean, come on, it's been seven years and still nobody but you knows about my secret identity.

10. For loving me.

Even when I don't love myself.

11. For believing in me.

In the same way that I will believe in you, always.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
