11 Things Girls With Long Hair Are Tired Of Hearing

Having long hair is a painful blessing. It looks pretty and you find yourself being complimented by random people on how beautiful your hair is. No matter if it's wavy, curly, straight, or a mix of all three, long hair makes it work. But the thing about long hair (like genuinely long hair) is there aren't as many people sporting it as you think, which leads people to make comments on your hair when they see it. We can all relate to the annoying things that people come up with when talking about your hair.

1. Wow! Your hair is so long! (As if you didn't know already.)

This is a really common (and uncalled-for) comment. Yes, your hair is longer than the average girl's, but you're also aware of it.

2. How long does it take you to straighten it?

It may take me five extra minutes from someone who has medium- to short-length hair. Sorry to disappoint if you were expecting me to say an hour and a half. You're looking more at 20, maybe 30 minutes.

3. Ugh, I wish my hair was as long as yours!

Easy solution! Stop cutting it short and let it grow out.

4. Can I play with your hair?

OK, this one isn't annoying because who doesn't like having their hair played with? But you hear it a lot.

5. I bet it takes forever to dry it!

It's common for people with long hair to have reasonably thick hair so yes, my hair does take a long time to dry, but honestly not much more than it did when my hair was a foot shorter.

6. Oh my gosh, I find your hair everywhere!

Long hair is heavier, which weighs down and causes more hair loss, so yes, your hair is everywhere: the carpet, your bed, the shower drain, the couch. Basically, anywhere you go.

7. Do you have extensions in? They look so real!

I always feel slightly offended here, like does my hair look fake? I know it's surprising how long some people can get their hair, but come on. You can tell if it's natural or not.

8. What kind of shampoo do you use?

Yes, because my shampoo is what made my hair grow like this overnight.

9. How long did it take you to get your hair that long? I'm growing mine out!

Years and years of saying, "Minimal cut, only split ends," to your hairstylist. If you want really long hair, you have to be patient.

10. I used to have long hair, but then I cut it short.

This one is awkward because what exactly are they expecting you to say back?

11. Don't ever cut your hair!

People sometimes can get obsessive with your long hair (believe it or not). I honestly can't tell you how many times I've been told this like it's going to stop you in the future from cutting it.

Christmas Tree

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
