Regular drama just wasn't cool enough.

Hey Upper East-Siders, Gossip Girl here. Okay, so I might not be the magical voice of Kristen Bell, with the facade of Daniel Humphrey, but being as big as fan I do count as a GG expert right? After re-watching my favorite series ever this week, I realized how much I wanted to flaunt fancy gowns with a glass of champagne at 19. To be apart of the lavish lifestyles of the Upper East-Side of Manhattan, without all of the drama of course. So I compiled a list of some of my favorite things I know every girl wishes they could have!

1. Sit On the Steps of the Met With Blair

During her high school days, Queen B's place was on the steps of the Met Gala with her "minions" and brightly colored headbands! We all wanted to rule the school alongside Blair on the steps, looking super cute and never letting people forget who the real queen was.

2. To Attend Constance Billiard School for Girls

Paired alongside St. Jude's School for Boys, these private schools were the home of drama and cute boys! Who wouldn't want to witness the Serena-Blair cat fights while ogling at all of the cuties? Also have you seen the outfits the girls wear? Hello fashion and goodbye the same t-shirt I might have worn for a week.

3. Fashion Week With the Waldorf's

Front row to all the fashion shows, maybe even get lucky enough to be in it! Yes please, maybe add on the goody bags too? Let's face it, Eleanor Waldorf ruled the fashion scene and with it being the Upper East-Side, it's got to be expensive. Who wouldn't want an all-access pass to the Waldorf fashion line?

4. Invitation to the White Parties

After spending the whole summer tucked away in the Hamptons, the only way to end it is the infamous White Party! Catching all of the missed out summer drama from S & B, and the never before seen vitamin water flavors, the white party was the place to be at the end of the summer.

5. To Be Featured on the Infamous Website

Sure e-blasts weren't the things we wanted to hear about ourselves, but like Lonely Boy said, people were talking about you and that's what gave you power. You wanted to be featured on Gossip Girl because it put the spotlight on you until the next e-blasts surfaced.

6. Go Shopping with Manhattan's "It Girl!"

While Blair ruled Constance, Serena was the 'It' girl, always owning the best and newest trends and shopping at only the classiest of places! From Chanel to Barney's, Serena had undeniable style and was never afraid to flaunt it!

7. Write for the "NY Spectator"

Nate Archibald's newspaper that always had the hot gossip and drama going on around Manhattan. While the paper had trouble starting out, it boomed once they leaked the secret identity of Gossip Girl herself.

8. Thanksgiving Dinner with the Crew

Thanksgiving dinner with any of the Upper East-Side kids is always bound to have crazy amounts of drama and secrets spilling everywhere. It's a day of hunger and arguing over who's relationship is broken up, but always ends with pie and people making up! Something salty to end in something so sweet.

9. Rufus Humphrey's Waffles

Any time Rufus mentions brunch, you know there's going to be waffles. If he's not talking about how good his waffles are, he's talking about his band. Although a band is cool, a band isn't food, Rufus' waffles sound delicious, who doesn't want to try them?

10. Scheming with Blair

Someone bullying you? It's scheme time, and who does schemes better than Queen B herself? Causing loads of trouble and tearing apart anyone who gets in the way, B knows how to humiliate anyone to make sure her plans get fulfilled.

11. Chuck Bass

Need I say more? Chuck Bass was every girls dream boy, and though the series has been over for awhile, he's totally still mine.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
