Everyone knows that breakups are one of the top ten worst things to experience. But in a way, they can be good because they teach you a lot about yourself. However, being a bystander to a breakup isn't exactly a walk in the park either, you see your friend struggling and all you want to do is shake some sense into them and make them see what you see. Unfortunately, you can't do that. You have to sit back and wait for your friend to cope and slowly realize how great she is. Here are 11 things to tell your best friend as she goes through a nasty breakup. Lauren, this one is for you buddy.

1. If Beyonce doesn't need a man, then you don't need a man.

2. When you're single, you don't have to share your food.

Or anything for that matter. That whole pizza has your name on it.

3. You can focus on what YOU like to do.

4. You have way more time to spend with your friends and do totally irrational things together.

5. Or just watching Netflix.

Stay in bed all day girl, you deserve it.

6. You can take as long as you want to get ready.

One hour? Two hours? Three days?

7. Or just not get ready at all.

No reason to shave now.

8. Going out on a Friday night to rage is now also an opportunity to meet someone new.

9. You don't have to worry about stupid fights or drama involving a significant other.

10. You can go on casual dates with new and interesting people.

And you don't even have to see the person again.

11. The aux cord is alllllllll yours.
