11 Reasons I'm Thankful For My Boyfriend

1. Thank you for always making me laugh: Whether it's something small, that we might only find funny, to something totally embarrassing, that you wouldn't want anyone else seeing.

2. Thank you for countless "are you okay's"?: Even when I'm in the happiest mood and I say everything is okay, I know that secretly you know something's wrong and I'm just being a bum and not telling you. (Even though eventually you find out).

3. Thank you for letting me be myself: Okay, I think this one is extremely important. You let me sing, dance, say insane things that I might not say to others. You let me curl up into little balls and just fall asleep, and sometimes you'll come near me to see if I'm actually sleeping.

4. Thank you for the random hugs: I actually really like these, they're unexpected most of the time - you do this when I need one the most, even if you don't realize it. Classes get stressful and when I get to see you afterward, it's a stress reliever and getting a hug from you is one of the most calming things.

5. Thank you for helping me: Some don't take the time to recognize this one, but you help me every day even when you don't realize it. The little things you do, like asking how my day went, or saying you're proud of me for doing well on that test (even when I want to cry after it). For the the "cheer up buttercups" - those are another one of my favorite things that you say.

6. Thank you for meeting me in the library EVERY morning: It's such a little thing, but it means a lot. You don't have to wake up and meet me there every day, you choose to and I love it.

7. Thank you for always taking pictures with me: I know that sometimes you might get annoyed by this because 90% of the time I'm asking you to take one with me, which it's just because I enjoy taking pictures with you - even the ones you don't want to take.

8. Thank you for being my backbone, my go to, my right hand: Not a single day goes by where if something exciting happens in my life, I don't want to tell you. Or even when someone asks me for help you're always right there helping me through that - even when it's something that I have to face myself, I'm really not because I know you're there to help me when I need it. I trust you with everything and that "don't tell anyone" rule definitely doesn't apply to you.

9. Thank you for letting me borrow your hoodies: This one is little and a ton of girls do it, but it's better when it's you.

10. Thank you for ALWAYS saying "I love you": You tell me it countless of times, but every time you say it - it means more than the last one. I remember all the times you've said - the good times, the times when we're both sorta upset, and whenever you say it, it automatically puts me in a good mood, because it's you telling me, makes it all better.

11. Most of all, thank you for being my best friend: Seriously thank you, you don't know how great it feels to be able to consider you my best friend and boyfriend. You tell me like it is when I need it. You're honest with me and I love that. You've truly shown me what it's like to know someone and support someone through everything and for that I am forever thankful. You've helped me get through so much already and I'm not just talking about the little things.

So, thank you. For being the person I can count on no matter what. The boy who is my best friend, the one I can laugh around and be myself. The one who is respectful and nice and caring in every situation possible. Also, thank you for always saying "I love you" and telling me"I'm your everything". You mean the world to me and I wouldn't change what we have for anything.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
