11 Things at Merrimack That Make Us All Anxious

We can all admit, we get pretty anxious from time to time, especially us college kids. But here at Merrimack, we know that feeling all too well. Whether it be getting to class on time, move-in day or even trying to open a door. When it comes to trying to survive on a day to day basis, I've only got one message for you, welcome to the Merrimack College Hunger Games, may the odds be ever in your favor.

1. When you go to Sparky's at the wrong time and you can't find a single place to sit.

2. On top of that, the only food left is croutons and grilled onions.

3. Waking up at 8:55 for your 9 a.m. in Sullivan.

4. Everything about the housing selection.

5. Trying to open the handicap door in the SAK.

6. Trying to work out at the gym while having a full tour group stare at you.

7. The wifi.

8. Walking into Sparky's with a water bottle in the spring.

9. Going to Dunks 10 minutes before class thinking you have time.

10. Finally getting your coffee and realizing you're going to be late.

11. Trying to plan your napping schedule during Spring Weekend.

It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
