As the summer approaches, I can't help but think about all of the fun activities that take place during those warm, sunny months. With that being said, I decided to come up with a bucket list of date ideas that I want to try and complete this summer.

1. Attend a concert.

More specifically a country concert.

2. Lay in the bed of a truck and watch the stars.

I think this one is pretty self-explanatory.

3. Go to the beach.

I don't care where just somewhere where I can put my toes in the sand.

4. Go on vacation.

It doesn't have to be anything extravagant, just a little something to get away from the norm.

5. Have a picnic.

Again, it doesn't matter, where. Just a packed lunch somewhere quiet with my favorite person.

6. Sit around a campfire.

The more people, the merrier, as long as there are s'mores.

7. Go to the zoo.

You can never go wrong with seeing the penguins.

8. Go go-karting.

Mainly because I figure if I can beat him in Mario Kart on the Wii, I can beat him in this too. And I love winning.

9. Go to a baseball game.

We both love sports, and you can't go wrong with a baseball game on a summer day.

10. Get ice cream.

This is always a good one considering Dairy Queen is a 15-minute walk away.

11. Pet some dogs.

Whether it's at a shelter or just in the neighborhood, dogs always have a way of making a bad day good

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
