11 Struggles As Told By A Forgetful Person
Michael Youssef

Sometimes your friends tend to tell you "I already told you this." Well, I consider myself as being more than just a forgetful person, but things will get better. Hopefully. I can be a bit delirious; in other words, my short term memory sucks! I often tend to remember the most random memories, numbers, and what you wore four years ago. Some people may think it's my ADHD, then again I'm simply a forgetful person. But I embrace it, and here are some key reasons you should too.

1. Texting someone back on the same day simply doesn't happen.

Your friends probably know this by now.. use it as a free pass when you REALLY forget to answer.

2. Forgetting your password is very NORMAL in your life.

Probably writing it down is a good idea, and your worst nightmare is having a 17 character password. As if!

3. You're often anxious that you’re forgetting something.

Just why brain.. let me get some sleep.

4. You constantly ask your friends to remind you of important conversations.

And you still manage to forget.. why world!

5. You're thankful of having Facebook to remind you of important birthdays.

Pfft! I know my best friend's birthday. Right?!

*Still checks Facebook* #blessed

6. Finishing sentences doesn't exist in your life.

"Um. Huh. Yeah, I can't remember." Michael Scott is your role model.

7. You often feel the need to lock your car more than once.

BECAUSE YOU NEVER KNOW! Very simple. Better be safe than sorry.

8. Remembering the most random stuff is your best quality.

This simply means your stories include vivid details - if you finish your sentence of course.

9. Because your room often looks like this.

Sticky notes are your best friend!

10. You spend too much money buying agendas because you forget where you put them.

Buying Kate Spade's agendas is the best thing that will ever happen to you.

11. Missing deadlines is very common in your life!

My worst nightmare..

We can at least agree that forgetting to reply your friends text message has its perks! Therefore, being a forgetful isn't that horrible. It's all right to forget important things from time to time as long as you don't forget your best friend's birthday. It can be a little scary forgetting important tasks, but we are just humans. It happens to everyone. At least, Meredith Grey can agree with us in this one.

8 Things I Realized After My First Semester In College

Actually, Kylie Jenner, 2018 is the year of realizing things.

The first semester of college is famous for being one of the most difficult transitions of one's young adult life. You're thrown into a completely new area where the majority of the people surrounding you are strangers in an academic environment that's much more challenging then what you've grown accustomed to for the past twelve years. On top of that, you probably share a room with another person (or even multiple people) on the lumpiest "mattress" you've ever slept on.

With this change comes a lot of questions: what do I want to major in? What am I passionate about? Is what I'm passionate about something I'm actually good at? Why does the bathroom smell like cranberry juice and vodka? What is that thing at the bottom of the shower drain?

6 Unrealistic Expectations Society Has For Young Adults

Don't let the thesaurus-inspired vocabularies in our résumés fool you. We're actually just big kids.

Well over four feet tall and 100 pounds in weight, many of us "young adults" of the world still consider ourselves children. Big, working, college-attending, beer-drinking children. We may live on our own, know how to cook noodles, and occasionally use a planner, but don't be fooled; the youthful tendencies that reside within us still make their way into our daily lives. From choosing to stay up until 3:00 a.m. playing video games on a school night to going out in 30 degree weather without a coat, we still make decisions that our parents and grandparents would shake their heads at in disappointment. So why are we expected to know exactly how to be a wise, professional, sensible adult? It's not that we're irresponsible (for the most part, anyway). It's that we are young, inexperienced, and still have the sought-after, enthusiastic mentality that we can do and be whatever we want, which has not yet been tarnished by the reality of the world. These are just a few of the unrealistic expectations that society has for young adults.
