Being a picky eater isn't as bad as everyone thinks it is. You don't have to share your food, and you always know what you want to eat at your favorite restaurants because you always get the same thing. On the other hand, it's a major dilemma when you have to bring your own food to your friend's house, or when everyone is constantly pressuring you to try new and disgusting foods. Either way, you're a picky eater and no amount of new foods or restaurants can change that, even if you're ostracized for your childlike eating habits.

1. You have to look up a restaurant's menu beforehand

You have to have a game plan when going out to eat. This includes searching the menu in advance for something halfway appealing. Anyone that's a picky eater knows the struggle of trying to get away with ordering off of the kid's menu because you can't find anything else you like.

2. Bringing your own food to your friends houses

Anytime you go to hang out at a friends place for an extended period of time you have to bring your own snacks. It's not their fault you can just never find anything you like.

3. All your food is so plain but so good

You can order your sandwich at subway in less than 10 words (bread, cheese, meat, done!)

4. Ordering at restaurants is complicated

If you actually find something you like you usually have a list of different things you have to ask the waiter to take off of your meal. And if your order ends up containing one of the dreaded foods that you hate, your meal is probably ruined.

5. You are constantly made fun of for your strange eating habits

6. Wanting to throw up when your food or someone else's food is touching

Nothing is more repulsive than multiple types of food, on the same plate, all touching and running together. Certain foods are just not meant to be together.

7. Your friends and family are constantly asking you to try new things, even when they know you won't like it.

8. When the same friends and family trick you into eating a certain food when they know there is something in it that you don't like

9. When you're asked the dreaded question, "So what foods do you not like?"

The list is immensely long, you might as well just say you don't like any food and you never eat because that's what other people think about you.

10. Sharing food is out of the question

You think the food everyone else eats is disgusting, and they think the same about your food, so sharing is never an option.

11. You may or may not throw a fit when you're starving and everyone agrees on a a restaurant you just know you're going to hate.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
