Looking to add some awesome music to your summer playlist? Here are 11 songs that will spice up, cool off, turn up, and take your best season ever playlist to the next level!

1. "G Train" by Thirdstory

Off the recently released EP "Searching," "G Train" is a mix of sexy vocals, a pulsing and driving beat and will make an excellent addition to any playlist. If you haven't heard these guys before, check out some of their other YouTube videos. They are remarkable, and just finished touring as Tori Kelly's opening act.

2. "Come Down" by Anderson Paak

As if a killing bass line isn't enough, this song grooves hard! Paak mixes eclectic style, heavy grooves and sick lyrics into one. Anderson Paak is out on tour this summer so definitely check him out in a city near you.

3. "Don't Let Me Down" by The Chainsmokers feat. Daya

This is nothing like the Chainsmokers we heard when "First Let Me Take a Selfie" came out. With a new sound and a great feature from Daya, this song makes you want to dance under the stars and enjoy every second of freedom on a night off.

4. "Juke Jam" by Chance the Rapper

Having some summer lovin'? Add this to the playlist. Nothing else needs to be said.

Check out the entire Coloring Book Album. It is beyond great.

5. "Into You" by Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande is grown... and she is proving it with her latest album. "Into You" is off of her latest project! It's not just summer that's heating up, plus this is a good one for the summer love too!

6. "Can't Stop the Feeling" by Justin Timberlake

One simply cannot have a summer playlist without some Justin Timberlake. His latest single from the new Dreamworks Animation's Trolls. Warning: this song will make you move, so, stop the car, get out and dance!

7. "Toothbrush" by DNCE

The Jonas Brothers may be broken up, but they are coming back with some force. Joe Jonas, now a part of DNCE, gets his grown and sexy on. HELLO ASHLEY GRAHAM, bring on the curves!

8. "Cake By the Ocean" by DNCE

You like cake (yes, any kind), like the ocean? Why not put them together? Sounds like the perfect combo.

9. "U Don't Have to Call" by Erykah Badu

Kick back and enjoy a true queen.

10. "Beat of My Drum" by POWERS

This song just feels like summer, from start to finish. It will make you dance too much, drive too fast and sing too loud; enjoy!

11. "She's a Bad Mama Jama" by Carl Carlton

To all the ladies out there, make this your anthem! Throwback everyday, this song came out in 1981 but will make summer of 2016 hit harder than any song today!

Enjoy your summer and turn it up!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.
