Chances are that if you've clicked on this article, you're familiar with the world of slither.io. If not, my sincerest welcome and I hope you're ready to give up your social life. Slither.io is a highly addictive game sweeping both the internet and the App Store. After wasting an obscene amount of my life playing it, I decided to share some of my tips and tricks. This game is truly the perfect way to procrastinate your finals and here are 11 tips and tricks to be successful in the game.

1. Don't trust anyone.

Even if another snake looks like its minding its own business, be alert. It can boost right past you and leave you for dead.

2. Eat the glowing dots left over from dead snakes.

This is a major key. It's all good and merry to make your way eating the little dots but if you want to win you have to get down and dirty. Consuming the remains of larger snakes is the most foolproof way to grow your snake for success. Other snakes' left over dots are worth much, much more than the ones already scattered over the playing field.

3. Don't die.

Don't die. Just don't do it. It's super aggravating and if you're anything like me, you probably yell profanities at your computer when you do. Not dying is a serious pro-tip when it comes to being Number 1.

4. Single out the weak.

Be aware of your surroundings. If there are snakes that are much smaller than you, slower than you, or you can tell they're an inexperienced player -- go after them.

5. Encircle smaller snakes.

This is the perfect way to further your snake's length. If you're able to encircle smaller snakes then you are guaranteed to increase your points. The trick is to use your boost to make sure they can't escape. Once you've perfected this technique you will be unstoppable.

6. Share on Facebook to customize your snake.

If you share Slither.io on Facebook or Twitter, you're allowed to customize your snake. This makes you look more intimidating and feel a lot cooler. You can pick from multiple skins including an American Flag themed skin. Pimp your snake out for maximum success.

7. Create a cool user name.

You'll feel more like a big player with a cool gamer tag like "young savage" or "snakedestroyer69". If you're good enough and are able to reach the Top 10 then you're gamertag will be displayed on the leaderboard for the world to see.

8. Use your boost.

Your boost ability is what gives this game an edge. You have to use some of your previously earned points in order to boost so it's not without sacrifice. However, your boost allows you to go faster than opponents in order to cut across them and make a kill. Use it wisely because it becomes harder to control your snake when its going faster.

9. Don't get distracted.

If you're in it to win it, you cannot allow yourself to become distracted. When you've been playing for awhile, it can be easy to allow your brain to become distracted. Don't allow yourself to break concentration especially when you've made it to the Top 50.

10. Stay in your lane.

It's important to stay in your lane. You have to risk it to get the biscuit but don't risk all your biscuits. In other words, sometimes it's helpful to be on the offense but you can't play the offense the whole game. If you stay in your lane and mind your own business, you're able to live longer than when you're zipping all over the field.

11. Remember, it's just a game.

It's just a game, even if you might consider it to be a lifestyle. It's okay to lose and take a break for a bit -- there's a whole world out there you may have forgotten about.

Good luck on the battlefield my friends.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
