Whether you know someone well or you don't know them at all, you can easily make someone's day even a tiny bit better with a small act of kindness. You never know when one could really need some extra happiness! Try to incorporate these simple ideas into your life and see the difference you can make.

1. Smile!

Sharing a smile is easy, quick, and sure to make someone feel happy and acknowledged.

2. Compliment Someone's Appearance

Don't be scared to tell that girl that her outfit looks cute! She'll love to hear it.

3. Compliment Someone On Anything At All

Whether one is complimented on their personality, talent, or achievements, they're sure to feel happy afterward.

4. Talk To Someone If They Seem Lonely

If you see someone with nobody to talk to, introduce yourself! It'll mean the world to them and you'll feel great yourself afterward for making someone happy.

5. Hold Open A Door

Holding open a door (to a room or a car) is a simple way to help someone out and make their life a little bit easier.

Send your loved ones a text or write a note just saying "I love you!" Sometimes we forget to tell people that we love them and giving that little reminder can create an instant smile.

Surpise your friends and family with small gifts! These don't need to be expensive; just give a little something to show your love and appreciation. This sweet surprise is sure to please.

11. Just Listen

Don't just look like you're listening when someone talks to you; actually listen. Pay attention to your friend's story and your family member's bad day at work. They want to be acknowledged and by intently listening, you can make them feel loved and heard (which will make them happy!)
