They're furry. They're cuddly. They love you. They think you are the best thing in the whole entire world (besides the scraps they get from the table at dinner, of course). And they're always there for you. Who doesn't love dogs? Personally, I love my two dogs very much. Since being away at college, I've come to realize how much my dogs mean to me. When you don't see a dog every day and when you don't get puppy kisses and cuddles every day, you start to realize how much you miss it! Here are 11 signs that may mean that you are slightly obsessed with your dog, like me. Hey, it's not a bad thing!
1. You put their comfort over your own.
Here's the situation: You're sleeping on the couch. You want to put the blanket over you more because your legs are cold. But your dog is on top of the blanket, snoring peacefully, and you can't move the blanket without waking him up. Guess you're just going to have to deal with cold legs.
2. You tell your dogs where you're going every time you leave the house.
Not sure if they actually understand, but maybe they can!
3. You're camera roll on your phone is filled with pictures of your dog.
"Aww, look how cute he is! Let me take a picture!"
4. You celebrate their birthday.
Everyone deserves to be celebrated!
5. You are used to only having a small place to sleep in your bed because they take up all the room.
But you wouldn't have it any other way.
6. You've gotten emotional when leaving your dog for a while.
Whether you're going on vacation or leaving for college, you're not ashamed to admit that you've shed a tear over not being able to see your furry friend for an extended amount of time.
7. You've tried to talk to your dog on the phone before.
"Mom, hold the phone up to Murphy's ear!"
"Here he is..."
"Hey buddy!"
8. You've thought about getting them a Friendship Collar.
I recently found out about these, and I think they are the coolest things ever.
Check them out! http://www.friendshipcollar.com
9. You talk about your dog all the time.
Sorry, not sorry.
10. You want to take them everywhere with you.
And sometimes you do. Even restaurants.
11. You consider your dogs to be some of your very best friends.
And they consider you to be theirs as well.
I can definitely say that a world without dogs is a world I never want to experience.
