In high school, we all made a group of friends that helped us get through the awkward freshman year, the non-existent sophomore year, the so-close-to-seniors junior year, and the long awaited senior year. But once we graduate, the realization slowly comes into play that we won't be friends with the large friend group we've grown so close to. However, soon we will come to notice that a few of our friends will remain our best friends forever. It's not all the time you come across a crazy, gossip-girl/Kylie Jenner obsessed group of friends quite like mine, but when you do it's obvious that our bond is eternal.
Here are the 11 reasons why you and your high school best friends will be friends forever.
1) No matter how far away you are in college, you communicate so often in the group chat during the day that it feels like you all go to the same school
2) Every time you come home for break, you spend every waking second together
3) They are also a part of your college friend group, and it feels at home whenever you go visit them
4) Their houses are still your second home, no matter how long it's been since you've last been there
5) You don't go a day without FaceTiming/calling them
6) We talk about our futures all the time, especially how our kids will call each other "auntie"
7) Reminiscing on the embarrassing moments that took place in high school, and of course remembering all the good times
8) Their parents are basically your second parents
9) No matter what happens, we know we always have each other at the end of the day
10) You can communicate by using made up words or simple looks
11) Graduation may be long gone, but our friendship is still growing stronger than ever
Everyone is lucky enough to have a great group of friends in high school, but we were lucky enough to create a bond that will last a lifetime.
