Winter break: a college student's first real break after the semester started in August. Students get to see friends and relatives they haven't seen in months, sleep in a comfortable bed, and relax from exams and school work. However, as soon as students become comfortable with lounging around the house and binge-watching Netflix, they have to go back to school. Here are 11 signs that you're a William & Mary student returning from winter break:

1. When you haven't even been on campus for 30 seconds and have already tripped on 3 bricks

2. ...and have already been attacked by 5 squirrels

3. But then you see your friends for the first time in a month and everyone's beyond excited to be reunited again

4. And then you remember it's a new semester which means your Flex dollars reset...

5. So you and your friends go to the Crust to eat skillet cookies

6. But then you realize that you haven't even been on campus for a week and you only have $3.54 left in Flex

7. You finally get the text that you've been waiting for from Coursicle saying that the class you wanted has opened up...

8. But by the time you get to the computer and log into banner, you discover that the class is already closed

9. Classes start and you immediately regret registering for an 8 a.m.

10. You start using 10 swipes per week on coffee to help you wake up for your classes

11. Even though you've only been in school for a week, you're already counting down the days to spring break

However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
