11 Signs You're A Fraternal Twin

Boy/boy, girl/girl, or boy/girl, being a fraternal twin is sometimes just as tough as being an identical twin. Some of these signs apply to identical twins as well, but the reactions to these differ between identical and fraternal twins. Identical twins see these coming; they expect people to comment on how there is essentially a human clone of them right there. Fraternal twins, however, can get away with not mentioning having a twin. Hey, we want to be the star of the show for once, don't make this all about my sibling.

1. "Oh, you're a twin! You look nothing alike."

1a. "Oh, you're a twin! I can see it, you look alike." Yes even as a boy/girl twin, this is possible.

2. Expectations for you two to be either completely alike or completely opposite of each other.

3. All of the times Mom and Dad put us in the same activity that one of us loved but the other hated, and there was no way out.

4. All of the matching T-shirts...

5. "LET ME SEE A PICTURE OF YOUR TWIN!"

6. Arguments over who was the favorite sibling, then deciding one was Mom's favorite and the other was Dad's.

7. "Are they as cute as you?" Well considering my twin could be a guy, there's no way to answer that awkward question.

8. To share clothes or to not share clothes... we don't look alike for a reason. Either let's keep it that way, or let's try to throw people off.

9. Using twin telepathy to team up against others, especially your parents.

9. Twin day at school is super easy. Relate back to sign #4.

10. People expect us to not get along, but in reality, my twin is my best friend.

11. Avoiding telling people you have a twin to avoid all of the other signs.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
