I'm still very new to the Pittsburgh life, but so far it's pretty great. So much to do in such close distances to myself that there is no way you could possibly be bored, especially on the food. WIth the immense amount of cultures right in Oakland, the food is just as much a variety as the people.

Here are 11 restaurants to try while visiting the great steel city:

1. Piada

Located at 3600 Forbes Ave Pittsburgh, PA 15213, Piada is the Chipotle masterpiece of italian deliciousness. I recommend the Balsamic Salad with the balsamic chicken it is very fantastic to say the least.

2. The Porch at Schenley

Located at 221 Schenley Dr Pittsburgh, PA 15213, The Porch serves up Pittsburgh favorites and in the tastiest possible way. Experience the local taste in one place.

3. Primanti Bros.

Located at 3803 Forbes Ave Pittsburgh, PA 15213, if you haven't been to Primanti Bros. I'm disappointed in you. Try out some signature Pittsburgh sandwiches and you'll find that the city has some pretty great sandwich choices.

4. Noodles and Co.

Located at 3805 Forbes Ave Oakland, PA 15213, Noodles and Co. is another mix of food choices, serving anything from pasta to soup to korean meatballs this place is pretty great for a quick bite to go with some savory dishes.

5. Bangkok Balcony

Located at 846 Forbes Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15217, this place serves up some really great Thai food on a second floor building with a large window view of the area. It is pretty fancy and a really great place for date night.

6. Beta Bites

Located at 338 S Bouquet St Pittsburgh, PA 15213, Beta Bites is an eatery that serves some signature Jewish plates.

7. Fuku Tea

Located at 3800 Forbes Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15213, Fuku Tea has some amazing bubble tea that soothes my soul. For all you Korean food lovers this is the place to get some tasty bubble tea in a quiet place.

8. Soho

Located at 203 Federal St, Pittsburgh, PA 15212, Soho is more than likely the best place to hit up before, during, or after a baseball game seeing how it is located near PNC Park especially with the array of American favorites.

9. Peace, Love and Little Donuts

Located at 118 Meyran Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15213, this little place offers a unique type of donut. Using classic dessert favorites, and other flavors to the base their donuts selection off of and they so quite sweetly.

10. The Colony

Located at 1125 Penn Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15222, which just so happens to be one of two cat cafes located in Pittsburgh. This fancy place serves alcohol, appetizers, coffee and tea and you can rent a time to play with some cats.

11. Black Cat Market

Unfortunately this cat cafe does not have a set address currently, but is setting to open in the summer of 2017 in hopes to offer up free love for their kitties which are open for adoption from the partnering shelter! Watch for this place, because you'll want to drink some coffee and play with some cats!

eye roll

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.

15 Things That Happen On Your Birthday

Do you have a small get-together or throw a big bash?

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.
