Are you sitting on the couch alone? Do you go for runs by yourself? Do you ever wish you had a true friend? GET A DOG!

1. Dogs are super adorable

Have you seen a dog before? Of course you have; they're precious.

2. Dogs will never abandon you

Dogs are more loyal than your spouse, your best friend and any one else in your life. They would never leave you for someone else or tell you that you're not good enough. Dogs will always be your truest friend.

3. Dogs are the best at cuddling

Little dogs provide cuddles that still allow you to move around and breathe. Big dog cuddles will slowly suffocate you with love. Either one will make you feel loved.

4. Dogs are protectors

If you know anything about dogs, you know they always bark when a knock hits the door or when a stranger comes inside. Dogs (especially bigger ones) will always do their best to protect you no matter what, including risking their own lives for you.

5. Dogs lower stress levels

Dogs can tell when you're stressed and they always know just what to do to make you feel better.

6. Having a dog can encourage a healthier lifestyle

Dogs don't walk themselves, you know. Depending on the breed, some pets will require more exercise than others. They even love to run with you, go to the beach with you, and participate in all your daily activities.

7. Dogs keep you on your toes

You can never be too sure what your dog is up to when you're away. Even when they tear up your couch cushion, it's not the end of the world. Dogs just keep your life from getting too boring.

8. Dogs make us more social

Whenever you take your dog around the block or to the dog park, other people with dogs tend to stop and say hi. Maybe you could make a new friend not only for yourself but for your pupper too.

9. Dogs make everyone happy

How can you be sad when you've got a great pup to love on? Dogs will always try to make you happy.

10. Dogs make you more responsible

Dogs can't get their own food out the fridge or take themselves on walks. You have to be responsible enough to take care of your fluffy friend once you get him.

11. Dog ears

There is really nothing softer than a doggo's ears. I mean, what other reason do you need to get a dog?

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
