1. The beaches are incredible.

2. There are countless, quintessential New England towns, like Provincetown, which is home to a thriving LGBTQ community.

3. They have the best mini golf.

4. You won't be the only one to consider ice cream a food group.

5. There's a ferry right to the beautiful island of Nantucket.

6. The beachfront cottages have a certain unmatched charm.

7. You can tour the infamous Kennedy Compound by boat on Hyannis Harbor.

8. If you take a whale watching trip, then you're pretty much guaranteed to see one.

9. There are unlimited ghost stories and pirate lore for those rainy, cozy days in.

10. Lighthouses. Enough said.
