Let's be honest, there are not many things about work that we find enjoyable. The long hours, the lack of sleep, and the absence of any free time make work almost not worth the money that we get. But I found that there is something invaluable that comes from work: My Work Friends. My truest and best friends have come from the job that I currently have and for that, I am forever grateful because, without them, I would be a lost mess. Here are a few reasons why work friends are the best of friends.

1. They are the perfect people to vent to.

It doesn't even have to be about work, but let's be real it's probably going to about work, and they will listen and completely understand why a certain customer or event made you want to rip your hair out.

2. When the work is done, the partying has begun.

They are the perfect people to out with either to the club or bar because they need a night out just as badly as you do.

3. They will always have your back

They know exactly what you are going through and if there is ever a time you need them for any reason, they will be there without a doubt

4. The group chat is always your go-to for everything

Whether it's boy issues or big news or even a question about when your next shift is, the group chat will always be your first line of communication.

5. The. Drama.

Every workplace has drama and sometimes it is so juicy. Usually, everyone knows a certain piece of the story and when you all get-together, the story becomes more and more whole and then you all just gab about it.

6. They make work bearable

Even though there might be long hours and not every moment is the best moment, you know that if one of your friends are there, everything will be a ton better.

7. And when they aren't there, your life is miserable

How are you going to survive the next few hours without them?

8. Work may have brought you together but the friendship keeps you together.

You feel so grateful that your jobs brought you all together because it's sad to say, but without it, all of you wouldn't have met.

9. You spend most of your time outside of work with each other

It's usually nightly sessions of food, movies, music, and mostly laughter. It's some of the best memories that you have.

10. When push comes to shove, they will be right by your side

There can be a lot of things that may come barreling at you at work but with your friends by your side, it's almost like you can take on the world and nothing else matters.

11. This friendship is one that will last a lifetime

You know that these friends are ones you can turn to when you feel the lowest of lows and will help you celebrate your highest highs. There will never be a group like this and you know you can cherish every moment of it.

A special thank you to my BM squad. I love you guys.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
